This week's show is all about the wine growing province of Salerno, one of five that make up the sun soaked wine growing region of Campania on the Italian Peninsula in south western Italy. There are a number of wine principals and dignitaries from Salerno here in Toronto this week for a special event the " Taste of Salerno" taking place at the Delta Chelsea. So before they head over to the tasting we are very pleased to welcome our two special guests, all the way from Salerno, the Honorable Edmondo Cirielli President of the Province of Salerno, Mr. Cirielli as well as President of Province of Enoteca di Salerno, Ferdinando Cappuccio who will be speaking specifically on the wines, their origin, the unique grapes and taste profiles . And our translator Giorgio Tinelli from the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario.

Our guests this week will help us celebrate in style as we welcome winemaker Ross Wise, originally from New Zealand now working his magic at Flat Rock Cellars, We’ll be tasting the 2009 Rusty Shed Chardonnay that just recently was awarded the only GOLD for a Canadian Table wine at the International Wine Challenge. We will also discover more about the upcoming i4c — International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration coming up in July, Also in studio, Australian professional chef Adam Hynam-Smith and his partner Tamara Jensen of Gastronomo Vagabundo, located in St. Catharine’s, with a focus on using local produce to create delicious and healthy dishes. And , what more Canadian then beer eh? We welcome president, entrepreneur and marketer Bill Coleman of Cameron’s Brewing Company, a brewery a true craft brewery that has been passionately brewing their all natural.

Guests enjoyed the vibrant beat of the African drums, indigenous dance expression and a “medicine man”.  All to help send our Canadian culinary team to South Africa this summer for the 3rd “World Chefs Tour Against Hunger”. Helping bring friendship, food, funds and gifts to the African nation from Canada.

The Wine Ladies TV show “One Sip At A Time” welcomed our guests on the red carpet and captured the magic and special moments of this sparkling night. Our silent auction table filled was with an assortment of incredible prizes, featuring something for everyone including a special door prize. A good time was had by all!
