The 5th annual Malbec World Day is coming up April 17th There will be tons of tastings, events and parties going on all over the globe, all devoted to this luscious, deep coloured, spicily rich very popular now…red grape. Yes, we said desert, albeit a desert that sits at the foot of the stunning Andes mountains with the snow melt that comes down and quenches the thirst of the vines. It is the perfect home for the vineyards with a climate and soils that allow Malbec to have found its niche.

Coming up on next week’s  show, we are “grape stomping mad about Malbec” from Argentina! And so are a lot of other wine lovers, experts and aficionados around the world.

To start the conversation, we’ll welcome Monica Ralphs, the founder of WineSpeak.ca, a full service consulting and PR company. She has been working with the Wines of Argentina for close to a decade.  In fact Monica just got back from Mendoza a couple of weeks ago, she is the authority on everything Argentinean.

 So many are seduced by and drawn to the magic of this country. Our second guest is one of them, he is a doctor, an endodontist to be specific, as well as  a wine lover and also a proud owner of a vineyard in Mendoza. Mendoza is the  largest wine producing province of Argentina. We’ll welcome Dr Gary Glassman aka Dr.G. @doctorg007   we’ll chat about wine, yes and also about  wine and teeth health, wine and health as well as his own vineyard. He is a great character, you guys are going to love him!

And finally, calling in all the way from Mendoza, Argentina to close the show, we’ll have a chat with a very special guest Diane Joyaux Fabre, who we are very excited to welcome to the show.
A bit of a walk down memory lane for us,she is the co-proprietor along with her husband Herve, of the award winning winery Fabre Montmayou, located in the most prestigious wine region Vistalba situated in Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza, she is an astute business woman, the Director of  FM, a fabulous cook and so charming.

Our itinerary included visiting the two primary wine producing provinces in the country; Mendoza, responsible for 80% of all wines produced and second in production San Juan, a little further north, with differing soils and climate producing wines of its unique personality.
