The Wine Ladies would like you to join us Saturday September 27th at the Pantages Hotel & Spa for the exciting annual tradition, the Angels in Action Prosperity Ball 2008. If it is anything like last years gala is going to be a simply magical night!

The Prosperity Ball is a fund raiser for the New Beginning charity founded by Denise Whitter who has tirelessly been working in the community to help improve the lives of women and children in need. New Beginnings empower women to become confident, self sufficient, career oriented and employable. Georgia and I recognize how very fortunate we are with our health, family and the wonderful rewarding work we enjoy in the food and wine business. Support of this charity and event allows giving back to other women and their families. The Wine Ladies want to help other women achieve all of their hopes, dreams and make them a reality too.

We will be your hosts for the evening including a live auction done by us. Thank goodness for our weekly training on our radio show. I know Georgia is quick on her feet but I didn’t realize she could talk so fast too! There are some wonderful auction prizes including an entire outdoor living room set, BBQ and gazebo generously donated by Canadian Tire.

Your magical evening includes a sparkling cocktail reception, a 3 course sit down dinner with wine, silent and live auctions, special celebrity guests, entertainment and dancing. Being The Wine Ladies we of course need to mention the wonderful new VQA wine that will be served with dinner, Girls Night Out generously donated for the evening by the wonderful folks at Colio Estate Wines. The goal for the evening is to sell 250-300 tickets at $100 per ticket (Corporate table sits 8) to assist 100 families for an entire year to transition to self-sufficiency. Cost of this endeavour is $250,000.
