Viña Errázuriz Concagua Costa Shiraz/Syrah 2012, Georgia’s Wine Pick.
So just recently we had the opportunity to attend the 10th anniversary of “the Berlin Tasting:, a legendary and ground breaking tasting that showcased the wines of Chile like never before, beating out iconic wines such as Chateau Lafite and Chateau Margaux. As a nod to this accomplishment and this event, the founder of which is Eduardo Chadwick of Viña Errazuriz.
I thought I would delve into Errazuriz’s wines, one of their reds… And in the mood these days for Syrah, I thought I’d check out the Viña Errázuriz Concagua Costa Shiraz/Syrah 2012 and so glad I did!
For $24.95, bright, violet-red in colour, wonderful complexity, comes from a single vineyard. The Manzanar Vineyards not far from the sea. This coastal syrah has a bold fruity, seductive aroma of red cherries and raspberries with hints of black pepper.I love this in my wines, it is juicy with fin tannins and has promise to age. I’d buy half a dozen an enjoy as times goes by. Delish.,
