Spark City Media Challenge, our chance at $2000 for our charity.

Yesterday The Wine Ladies were part of media and blogger teams from across Toronto, driven by our thirst for victory and our desire to do good. We competed in an adventurous, city-wide scavenger hunt. We were armed with an all new Chevrolet Spark and an iPad. Ours was the hot green colour called Jalapeño. Each team was given tasks to complete unique tasks around the city, using our unique Ipad as a clue giver. The winning team will receive $2,000 for the registered charity of their choice. Our Charity of choice for this event is The Angel Project. We will know if we win on Monday! Keeping our fingers crossed on that one.

Our relay race to us took us from Queens Park, to the ROM, Casa Loma and then Lamport Stadium in Liberty Village. From playing Frisbee with complete strangers, answering questions about the Chevrolet Spark, posing with statues and finding our way all over town, we had a complete blast. Georgia drove and Susanne navigated. We only fought once. We even found Ben Mulroney coming out of McDonalds on Bloor Street, in front of the ROM. Nice guy and agreed for a photo opp with The Wine Ladies. Thanks Ben, as a result we won a prize for the best photo with a celebrity. At Casa Loma we enlisted the help of a couple of folks from Los Angelas who happily agreed to play the bean toss game with us. We asked, how they were enjoying Toronto so far? They were loving it and indicated that they were on their way to Niagara Falls in the morning, we piped in and told them all about wine country along the way and to be sure to try our Icewine!

This was also our opportunity to experience the 2013 Chevrolet’s first microcar the Spark in Canada before it’s out on the market? It was great fun, a playful urban relay in the heart of Toronto. Wish us luck on Monday that we win the $2000.00 for The Angel Project. The Angel Project will be holding a fundraiser called Couture For A Cause to be held Oct 13^th in The Distillery District.
