We’ve never done a show on Scotch, but with its steady rise in popularity, we thought… let’s get in the game! A little recognizance revealed that a Cuban cigar and a wee dram of single malt Scotch marry quite fine, so it is the union of the two we have fun with on this week’s show.

Our guests this week, firstly from a family that has been in this business for four generations, originating in Denmark, Kris Miller of Frank Correnti Cigars Ltd. www.correnticigars.com Kris, passionate about the history, the culture, and the art of cigar rolling will bring the iconic cigar to life, a fascinating topic to be sure.

Next, we stepped outside the “proverbial box” of wine sort of speak, and instead delve into Scotch whisky. We recently had attended a terrific event, where there was a variety of aged scotches from Highland Park, paired with a fabulous 5 course meal at Colborne Lane in Toronto. That evening we met 3 bloggers who specialize in this interesting topic. We wanted to know more about Scotch whisky, and sample a few more, as a result we also welcomed to the show our special in studio guest, Sean Kirby, a contributing writer for www.scotchblog.ca
