The concept of “Terroir”, an esoteric wine term, as well as the name of a delicious wine festival “Terroir Wine Celebration” in Prince Edward County, Ontario coming up May 29th, will be our focus this week. Join us as three award winning wineries share their passion, their know-how, their wines and the perfect picnic basket stocked with fabulous wine and food pairings. Terroir Wine Celebration in Prince Edward County May 29th,2010

This year 5 new county wineries will open their doors, bringing the total number of wineries in the county to over 20. Come taste their wines first at Terroir, Sat. May 29, 2010 from Noon – 5:00pm.Wineries will be serving their own unique county-produced wines, featuring the new spring releases.

ARTE VINO – Saturday, June 19th 2010

The 6th annual Arte Vino www.artevino.ca art and wine festival takes place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Crystal Palace in Picton. The afternoon event showcases local artists and art organizations, wine sampling from regional wineries and fabulous food from local chefs and restaurateurs.
