Each year, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) draws thousands of international filmmakers, stars and media to Toronto and for this years festival (Sept. 10-19), The Wine Ladies are entering the exciting world of web TV.

Street in Yorkville – ground zero for the film festival – and have conducted brief interviews with the stars, filmmakers, writers, international VIPs and media representatives discussing favourite wines, what wines go with which movies at this years’ festival, favourite movies about wine (e.g.: Bottle Shock, Sideways, A Walk in the Clouds, Under the Tuscan Sun) – the ultimate in wine TV! New Zealand vineyard proved to be a romantic backdrop for the cast and crew of twice Oscar-nominated director Niki Caro’s latest film. “Vintner’s Luck”. Caro has brought together a young international cast for the film. Belgian actor Jérémie Renier plays Sobran Jodeau, with New Zealander Keisha Castle-Hughes as his beautiful but troubled wife, Celeste. French Actor Gaspard Ulliel is Xas, an angel who seems more human than divine. American actress Vera Farmiga is baroness Aurora de Valday, an aristocrat who encourages Sobran in his winemaking ambitions, and becomes romantically involved with the peasant vintner. Caro’s third film to be premiered in Toronto, and is already generating a substantial amount of Oscar buzz.
