Red blotches be gone!

Dear Wine Ladies,

I’d appreciate if you could recommend a product that instantly removes red wine stain off my shirt and tie. I’ve tried several that claim to do this, but haven’t had much luck in finding one that really works.

Being in the early stages of mastering the “slurping method” of wine tasting, slight accidents seem to be more the norm than the exception. Perhaps I am slurping incorrectly? Thanks Wine Ladies.

Indeed, slurping your wine can be a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, there’s no turning back. For the benefit of those unfamiliar with slurping, here is a brief explanation. Slurping your wine, taking in a bit of air with the wine and slurping as you would a hot soup off a spoon intensifies the enjoyment. By “aerating” the wine, the aroma is more pronounced; swishing the wine allows it to reach all the areas of the mouth and also gives you time to register what you are smelling, tasting and feeling including the texture and the body. Admittedly, the first few attempts may result in a little spillage, but do persevere; you’ll be glad you did.
