Argentina’s signature grape varietal
Dear Wine Ladies,
What is the name of the grape that originated in southern France and goes by “cot” in that region? It is a very dark, almost black grape. Thanks Wine Ladies.
Gerald
Dear Gerald,
You are referring to the more commonly well known alter identity of “cot” which is Malbec. Argentina has staked its claim on this varietal now producing some of the best Malbec’s in the world.
