Wine dispensing machine hits the big apple!

New York watering hole “Clo” situated in the prestigious Time Warner Centre on the 4th floor in Manhattan is nestled between two Michelin guide restaurants. Just like Clo’s neighbors there’s an extensive list of wines to choose from as well and a couple of sommeliers on hand to guide you through the vintages. But Clo is a little different! if you don’t feel like asking for help or are feeling like you need some alone time, just sit yourself down to the wine bar, read the table top (which according to one patron looks like the iPhone) and push a button. Oh did I mention that you have to feel comfortable with a machine serving you your wine? Not to worry, here’s how it works; peruse the table top offering small bytes of info on each wine, select a wine, push a button and presto, squirt, from a machine comes a two ounce pour of the wine of your choice! As simple as that! Well you have to buy a card first to insert into the mainframe! but truly it’s a lot of fun, user friendly and kind of cool!
Wines range in price from $3.00/pour (2 ounces) to $83.00 for a taste of the prestigious Vega Sicilia. And there’s always two or three sommeliers walking the beat for those who would like a little more info or who prefer the personal touch. For more info on Clo visit www.clowines.com
