She then invites the reader to join her, whether at restaurants in Toronto, or around the globe. Sara and her well trained taste buds joins us this week on the show as she tastes and tells all! Also joining us in studio Adam Waxman, contributing writer Dine Magazine who brings along some Niagara wines for us to enjoy and taste. One is a Chardonnay Musque from Ravine Vineyards and the other is called Family Tree (a red blend) from Henry of Pelham. Both wineries are owned and operated by U.E.L. families who have owned these lands since the 1700s, and yet they both represent what is new and exciting about Niagara. Perfect timing as the LCBO’s 20th annual Ontario wine promotion inviting customers to find their local favourites launches this week.

Take some time to go through a good number of home and decor magazines, pulling out tear sheets of any kitchens that appeal to you. Perhaps it’s the light fixtures you are drawn to, or the exquisite countertop, or even the color palate? When it is time to meet with your designer, Johnny V says, you’ve identified your style without even realizing. A common theme will be obvious to the trained eye and you’ll be off to the races. Collingwood Canadian Whisky, first new major whisky in 10 years.

Collingwood Whisky, a new Canadian spirit hit the store shelves this month. Collingwood will be the only maple wood mellowed Canadian whisky available on the market. The whisky is triple distilled and then matured in white oak barrels. It’s finished by mellowing the blended whisky with toasted Maplewood, which adds sweetness to the spirit while reducing natural astringency. Collingwood, which sports an interesting men’s cologne shaped bottle is now available at the LCBO (#244186). Each bottle clocks in at 80 proof, and a 750ml bottle will retail for around $29.95. Collingwood delivers a refined flavour profile that can be enjoyed on the rocks or mixed in a cocktail. Check out 3 awesome cocktail ideas here: Awesome new Canadian whisky made from the finest Canadian grains, pure spring water from Ontario’s Georgian Bay. Smooth, hand-crafted, maple wood mellowed.
