Today’s stop: the Bronte Farmers Market (10AM–2PM) where I met the amazing Bob & Sue—the heart and soul behind @brontewoodwork and @bronte.boho.
Their booth is bursting with handcrafted wooden treasures and the coolest boho fashion made from repurposed potato sacks. Sustainable, stylish, and totally me! 💃🌿
I’m in love with their vibe—earthy, artsy, and full of personality. If you haven’t been yet, go next Sunday… and bring your market bag. 🍷😉

Today’s spotlight King’s Court Estate Winery from St. Catherine’s, Ontario.
Back in 1723, Kaiser Wilhelm — the German king — visited the quaint town of Heddesheim and demanded his royal dues from the local peasants. Among the offerings was a barrel of wine from Jakob Zimmermann, our great-great-great-grandfather and local vintner.
One sip and the king was hooked. So impressed by the wine’s quality, he immediately ordered a full barrel to be sent to his palace.
From that day on, Jakob’s vineyard was appointed the official winery of the monarchy — earning the name “Königswingert,” meaning King’s Vineyard.

Have you tried Spanish wines recently? Yesterday we enjoyed a beautiful media tasting and luncheon featuring the wines of Ribera Del Duero, a wine region in Spain and located in the country’s northern plateau. We tasted 14 wines featuring the grape varietals of Tinta del Pais, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo.
All the wines here are available at the LCBO or through a wine agent here in Ontario. Awesome food wines.

Winery spotlights St. Hubertus Estate Winery of the Okanagan Valley.
We had an opportunity to visit Kelowna and Okanagan wine country recently with a wonderful visit with Andy Gebert of St. Hubertus Estate Winery. Dating back to the mid 1920’s, the St. Hubertus & Oak Bay vineyards are some of the oldest in the Okanagan Valley. Since 1984, the Gebert Family use sustainable farming practices on their 76 acre vineyard, to produce wines that reflect the terroir of the north Okanagan valley under the St. Hubertus & Oak Bay label.
