After 3 long years of searching Jak Meyer finally found the perfect vineyard site in the Okanagan Valley. In 2006 he and his wife Janice bought a small 1.62 hectare vineyard on the coveted Naramata bench, and in 2009 a 6.9 hectare property in Okanagan Falls. The Meyer’s focus is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, producing les than 3000 cases from mature 14 year old vines. Having fun and making excellent wines is the family philosophy and Jak was only too happy to oblige and agree to be our West Coast winemaker for our friendly battle of the wines event East Meets West on September 22nd.
