This month, the widely anticipated exquisite new Canadian magazine Arabella (means good earth) all about home design, fine art and celebrating living life well, which includes naturally, sumptuous fare and wonderful wines will finally be available at retail and by subscription.

Regular features in the magazine will include, food and wine, restaurants, resorts, art galleries and gardens from around the world. The magazine is expected on newsstands at the end of the month.
Arabella visited our homes and photographed our wine cellar and private quarters. You’ll see that although we are sisters and are very close, our decorating styles couldn’t be any further apart. Someone is the Diva and a bit over the top and the other sister is modern sleek and sophisticated. We also picked ten great wines to buy for the upcoming holiday season from the most inexpensive to the most outrageous. Our wine cellar is 325 square feet with a capacity of 5000 bottles. Located in the basement with a humidity about 70% and kept at 58-62 degrees. For more details you will have to read the feature article in Arabella magazine.
Is the basement good spot for a wine cellar?
Yes, as it is often the coolest place in a house. If you do opt for your basement, set it up “where it is not damp, moldy, near chemicals, like paint or cleaning solutions, and not under the stairs.
Also joining us via the telephone lines was Executive Chef Don Potter of Taboo Resort and Spa in Muskoka which will be featured in the inaugural Arabella magazine. The Culinary Theatre takes center stage at this one-of-a-kind 18-seat theatre that is at the core of the entire dining area. Entertainment is the order of the day as the Chef de Cuisine prepares his famous tasting menus in the theatre. See all the action unfold, interact with the chefs and experience a totally new kind of culinary adventure. The Culinary Theatre can accommodate groups of 6 guests every half hour. Groups up to 18 people can be serviced at one time when they are all dining on the same menu.
